The mouse comes with certain usage instructions, such as the requirement to charge it for about 2 hours before first time usage.

To use the mouse: 1. Take the dongle out from the bottom of the mouse 2. Insert the dongle into the USB port of your device 3. Open the mouse switch at the bottom of the mouse. The mouse will self-install in a few seconds. If the device has a Type-C port instead of a USB port, insert the USB-C to a USB receiver into the Type-C port first, then insert the USB receiver into the USB-C to USB receiver. Turn on the power switch to start using the mouse.

A blue light beside the scroll wheel will indicate low battery and the mouse will need to be charged. This is done using the included USB charging cable. After the charging is complete, the light will go off.
